MY BACKGROUND

I have been playing piano for almost 20 years. I have always had a passion for music and actually begged my mom for lessons! I also have played saxophone for 15 years. I was involved in concert band, jazz band, marching band, and was the drum major in high school. In college I was apart of the United States Naval Academy Glee Club, was in an a Capella group "The Sirens", and also accompanied the group on piano for several songs.
While in the Glee Club, I had the privilege of performing for various presidents, including President Bush Sr, President Bush Jr, and President Obama.
I also performed with various celebrities , including Trace Adkins, Beyonce, and Renee Fleming.
I hope we can get the chance to get to know each other!.
FUNDAMENTALS
I specialize in Beginner Fundamentals, and know how to reach my students with the right balance of personalized attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. MUSIC THEORY
I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on Music Theory. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As an experienced and passionate Piano Instructor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.
